Welcome to Burham
Burham is a village and civil parish in the Tonbridge and Malling Borough, on the southern side of the North Downs in the county of Kent (known as the Garden of England) in England. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 1,251, decreasing to 1,195 in 2011. It is close to 3 other small villages; Aylesford, Eccles and Wouldham. Burham is close to the Medway towns, in a designated Green Belt area known as the Medway Gap. It lies along Pilgrims Way (the ancient route along the Downs linking the cathedral cities of Winchester and Canterbury), approximately half way between Rochester, 8km/5miles to the North and Maidstone, 8km/5miles to the South. Canterbury is 48km/29miles East and London 59km/35miles to the West.
