Burham Church of England Primary School

The Junior School moved to the modern building in Bell Lane in 1984, soon followed by the Infants School.  All classes are housed in modern permanent buildings.  The school draws pupils from Burham and equally from further afield.  It enjoys a good reputation for high academic standards, a strong Christian ethos and a caring atmosphere.

There is a strong governing body and an active Parent Teacher Association.

Burham Pre-School

Burham Pre School
This is held from Monday to Friday in the Village Hall for all children aged 2½  – 5 years.  

This is a long established group with caring experienced staff.

Recreation Ground

Equipment

The Recreation Ground is a large area of grass in the centre of the village next to the village hall. This park-like area is for all ages to enjoy, be it walking (with or without the dog – please dispose of dog poos & all other rubbish in the bins provided!), sitting on one of the many benches or using the many items of equipment.

There are different types of equipment within Burham Recreation ground.
For the youngsters, the Play Area which incorporates many pieces of equipment for all young age groups, such as swings, slides and a variety of rockers.
For children from 8 years, (even  up to adults!) the Spectra is situated just outside the main Play Area, it has 10 play features.

For Teens there are the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), the Skate Ramp, the Single Basket Ball Hoop and the Teen Shelter which is located at the top of the recreation ground.
